Carson Native Kicks Off NFL Career At Home This Fall

With the 48th overall pick in April’s NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers selected Carson native Uchenna Nwosu, a linebacker out of USC.

Nwosu began his football career at Harbor City’s Narbonne High School, where he played for the CIF L.A. City Section Championship.

He then went on to USC where he’s enshrined on the All-American Walk and where he was named to the All-Pac-12 first team his senior year.

In an interview in the Fall edition of the Carson Report, Nwosu recalls a childhood spent in Del Amo Park and an ongoing desire to help with youth football camps in Carson. The full interview can be found on the city’s website or at www.carsoncat.org/NwosuChargers

Nwosu now looks to bring his winning ways to the StubHub Center where he will have the rare distinction of playing high school, college and now professional football all in the Los Angeles Area.

You can follow Nwosu’s journey on Twitter at @UchennaN_42.
