Municipal Engagement Opportunity Workshops

The year 2020 is bringing significant challenges and changes to the City of Carson and its local democracy. Among those are:

​

• ensuring all residents complete the 2020 U.S. Census

• a chronic city budget deficit

• a change in how and where to vote

• a likely shift to by-district elections

• a mayoral election and

• the opportunity to elect a new County Supervisor

Carson Accountability and Transparency would like to face these issues head-on, and be the central resource for residents to make their voices heard and be change agents for our community.

The Municipal Engagement Opportunity Workshops will seek to organize and convene the community on a regular basis to educate, inform and activate Carson residents on these issues.
